(Name) felt her phone vibrate over and over again. Of course this would happen when she was trying to buy Halloween candy. She sighed and reached into her pocket to grab her cell phone. It was her best friend Alfred who was trying to call her a thousand times. She sighed and finally decided to answer her phone after the millionth time.

“Hello?” (Name) said when she answered the phone.

“Hey, (Name)!” her friend Alfred said from the other side of the phone. “Can you come over sometime soon and watch a scary movie with me?”

“A scary movie?” (Name) asked. “Alfred, you know I don’t like scary movies.”

“I know but I’m too scared to watch it by myself! Please?”

“But tonight is Halloween, Alfred. I was supposed to give some candy to the children who come to my house.”

“You can do it over at my house! Just please come over here and watch the movie with me.”

(Name) sighed as she kept walking down the candy aisle and putting candy she knew children would enjoy into her shopping cart. “Fine, I’ll do it but only because you’re my friend. But we can’t watch the movie until midnight when Halloween is over and the kids have their candy.”

“Aww but why do we have to wait that long!” Alfred whined.

“Because I want to give out the candy first. It wouldn’t really be good to watch a movie and having to keep answering the door at the same time. I would rather wait until midnight when all of the kids have gone home.”

Alfred groaned over the phone. “Fine I’ll wait.”

“Good,” (Name) said. And you’ll also help me hand out candy.”

“Fine just as long as you promise you’ll still watch the movie with me.”

“Of course, Alfred. I’ll be over in a couple of hours.”

“Thanks, (Name)! I knew you’d say yes!” Before (Name) could say anything else, Alfred had already hung up the phone, leaving it beeping on the other end while (Name) held her cell phone in her hand. She sighed. Honestly, what was she going to do with that guy? Yeah he was her friend and all but he didn’t need to drag her into things like this all of a sudden. There didn’t seem to be anything she could do about it now.

Oh well, she thought to herself. It looks like we’re going to have horror movie night together whether we like it or not.

~~~~~~~~~~~
(Name) knocked on Alfred’s door, carrying a bowl full of candy and was soon welcomed by him. “Hey (Name)!” Alfred said. “Come in.”
(Name) nodded and walked into his house. She set her bowl of candy on a small desk next to his door and went to the living room. She saw a bunch of snacks and drinks laying on the table in between Alfred’s couch and television. (Name) sweatdropped and turned back to Alfred. “Isn’t this a little much Alfred?”
“What do you mean too much?” Alfred said. “I think this is plenty.”
“Whatever you say,” (Name) mumbled before she sat down on the couch. “It won’t be too long until the children start coming out for Halloween.” (Name) turned Alfred’s radio on before she caught him near his door with his hand in the candy bowl. “Those are for the kids Alfred!”
Alfred took his hand out of the bowl as fast as he could and rubbed the back of his head with his hand. “But it’s candy!”
“We already have plenty of snacks! Leave some for the children!”
“Alright, alright!” Alfred walked into the living room and sat down next to (Name) on the couch. “So we’re just going to sit here and listen to the radio the whole time?”
“Well what else is there to do until midnight? We’ll be busy handing out candy to the children.”
“But that’ll be boring!” Alfred groaned.
“It will not, Alfred.”
Alfred sighed. “Fine, I guess I can do it if you are.”
“Good because they’re starting to come out now.”
Alfred looked outside his window to see that there were cars starting to drive and park near different walkways as children dressed in costumes for Halloween stepped out of them along with their parents. Some of the children held their parents’ hands as they started to go out to the different houses, Alfred’s being one of them.
“Here we go,” Alfred groaned lightly.
*~3 Hours Later~*
It was starting to get darker outside as time passed and the number of children going around for candy were decreasing. Alfred had already turned on his television and hiding under a blanket. “The movie isn’t even on yet, Alfred,” (Name) said.
“Y-yeah but it’s still creeping me out!” Alfred said.
(Name) sweatdropped and turned the dvd player on after she inserted the disk. She pulled part of Alfred’s blanket away from him and wrapped up in it as well. “Try not to scream too loud okay, Alfred?” (Name) said in a teasing voice.
“I am not going to scream!” Alfred exclaimed.
“Yeah you’re right. You’ll run to Arthur or Kiku like you did when we were younger.” (Name) giggled as she watched Alfred’s face turn bright pink.
“Not funny (Name)! You said you wouldn’t bring that up again!”
“Sorry I couldn’t resist.” (Name) continued to laugh a little until Alfred’s face settled down to its natural color. “Let’s just get this movie over with.”
“F-fine,” Alfred said as he settled down into his couch and hit the play button on his remote. He was relieved that he wasn’t at least being made to watch this movie alone. He had (Name) with him and even though she did joke about his fear of horror movies with him a little bit she never actually put him down for it. She would never admit it but she was as scared of horror movies as he was, maybe even a little more. He didn’t blame her but at least he could poke fun at her about it too.
By the time the movie was over Alfred and (Name) were clinging to each other even though (Name) looked like she was trying not to. She was blushing and trying to hide her face in Alfred’s blanket. “Is it over?” (Name) asked in a shaky and squeaky voice.
“Y-yeah I think so,” Alfred said as he started to calm down. (Name) took her face out of Alfred’s blanket but it was still obvious that she had been blushing and trying to hide her fear of horror movies from Alfred.
“Good,” (Name) sighed and took the blanket off of her. “Well I should probably be heading home then.”
“But it’s late,” Alfred said. “I don’t think it’s safe for you to be out at this time of night. You can stay here if you want.”
“But I don’t even have any of my clothes.”
“You can borrow some of my night clothes.”
“I think your clothes would be a little too large for me Alfred.” Alfred had already gotten off of the couch and went into his bedroom and came back wearing a pair of Captain America pajamas while carrying a pair of Iron Man pajamas and handing them to (Name).
“Alfred I love the Avengers as much as you do but really?” (Name) laughed a little as she took the pajamas. “These pajamas are twice my size Alfred.”
“Those were the smallest ones I could find! Go ahead and change and I’ll fix my bed for you.”
“I’m sleeping on the couch Alfred.”
“Aw why! You used to sleep in bed with me when we were kids.”
(Name) sweatdropped. Most of the time he still was like a kid. “Yeah when we were kids. We’re older now.”
“What does that have to do with anything?”
“Well... We’ve grown.”
“Well duh, that’s sorta what kids do.”
(Name) face palmed. “You still don’t get it do you?”
“Get what?” Alfred asked with a goofy look on his face. She had to admit his goofy faces were kinda cute like they were as kids but he could still be a little dense sometimes.
“Nothing,” (Name) said. “Fine I’ll sleep with you. I’m just going to go get changed in the bathroom.” (Name) headed upstairs to Alfred’s room and went into the bathroom he had in his room. She locked the bathroom door and started to change into Alfred’s Iron Man pajamas. As she thought it would, the pajamas were too big on her. The sleeves hung off past her hands and she was stepping on the legs of the pajamas. It was a mystery how Alfred could fit into these pajamas perfectly, but then again he was bigger than her. She rolled up the sleeves and pajama legs to where they weren’t hanging down anymore and unlocked the bathroom door, walking out and joining Alfred who was already laying down.
“I told you they would be to big,” (Name) said. “But I guess that it’s better than nothing.” She laid down next to Alfred as he turned his lamp off.
“Good night, (Name),” Alfred said.
“Good night, Alfred,” (Name) said as she pulled the blanket over them. Alfred hugged (Name) and held her like he did as a child while (Name) laid there and snuggled closer choosing not to complain. She actually found out that she missed sleeping like this with him. They wrapped their arms around each other and soon fell asleep contently in each other’s arms.
Now here's a story that's a couple of months overdue! I planned to finish it around Halloween but I never got to it but better late than never right? ; w ;
I do not own you or Hetalia.
I'll get around to uploading more of my stories on hold once I finish Mermaid In My Dreams, which I hope is pretty soon ; w ; I need to work on commissions and my Nuzlocke challenge.
Awww this was so cute! Lol Alfie, sticking his head in the candy bowl that's supposed to be for the kids :XD: What I find especially funny is that the reader's personality is actually not far off from my own (and my Hetalia OC's) so I could easily imagined myself in this scenario :XD: (And I can relate about the horror movie fear--I hate scary films and refuse to watch them, though I suppose I could probably do it if I had America by my side....maybe XD)
