Practice Match (Belgium vs. Hungary MMA Fight)

Elizabeta and Laura changed out of their school uniforms in the locker room and remained in only sports bras and shorts. "Do you think we'll be picked to fight each other in practice this time, Liz?" Laura said as she taped her hands in preparation for practice.

"Who knows?" Elizabeta said as she finished taping her hands and adjusting her gloves. "It's always random. At least it's just practice." She took her chest protector out of her gym bag and started putting it on over her chest.

"Still, nothing wrong with a little friendly competition, right?" Laura shot her friend a grin as she finished preparing as well. "And if we are picked to practice together today, no holding back from either one of us?"

Elizabeta grinned back and nodded. "Of course. I wouldn't expect less from you."

"Good." Laura and Elizabeta finished changing into their uniforms and heard the coach blowing her whistle, signaling that that everyone needed to hurry and finish changing so they could start practice. Laura and Elizabeta walked out of the locker room together and joined their coach and other members and formed a circle around their practice ring.

The coach pulled out her clip board and looked over the names of the team mates who would be practicing against each other today. She called out the names two at a time and the people who were called out went into the ring for a practice fight. When those two were finished, the next two took their place as the coach went down the line of names.

"Laura and Liz, you two are up next," the coach said. Both of their eyes lit up with excitement as they exchanged looks with each other. It was about time they were given the chance to fight against one another. They both walked onto the training ring and took their own sides of the ring, putting on their gloves and mouth guards and getting into position. "You girls ready?"

"Yes, coach," they said in unison.

The coach counted down from three before blowing her whistle and signaling the start of the practice match.

As soon as the whistle was blown, Laura instantly lunged herself at Elizabeta, hoping to get a good punch in. Elizabeta blocked it and went for a punch right to the shoulder. Laura barely dodged the hit and attempted to plant another swift blow to Elizabeta's face. Elizabeta moved out of the way just fast enough for the blow to miss.

"Ha!" Elizabeta said as she lunged for Laura once more, finally landing the first blow to Laura's stomach.

Laura cringed and gritted her teeth from the jolt of pain she received from the hit and threw a punch at Elizabeta's face, landing a solid and satisfying blow. Elizabeta recoiled, but quickly recovered as she lifted her knee into Laura's stomach. Laura let out a grunt of pain as she landed to her knees.

She tried to pull herself up, but Elizabeta was coming closer and closer to her. Laura scrambled to her feet and fell back slightly, feeling her back press against the ropes that held the ring together. Laura got back into her fighting position and punched at Elizabeta's face to keep some distance between them.

Elizabeta dodged the punch and lunged inwards to land a blow straight to Laura's jaw. Laura stood there, stunned from the sudden hit to her face, giving Elizabeta just enough time to tower over her and put her into a choke hold. Laura tried to pry Elizabeta's arm from around her neck, but Elizabeta kept her grip firm as the couch counted down from three. Laura tried to pull even harder until the coach blew her whistle from below, signaling that the match was over.

Elizabeta took her arm away from Laura's neck and helped her stand up. "That was a good game," Elizabeta said.

Laura looked at her with a grin on her face. "Yeah, you bet it was. I won't go so easy on you next time."

Elizabeta snickered and walked out of the ring with Laura, letting the next two teammates take their place, already planning out their next match in their heads.
